Wallself Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wallself, operated by Gökhan Güzel ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Wallself mobile application (the "App"). We act as the data controller for the processing described below.
1. What data we collect
1.1 Account data
- Phone number. You sign in with your mobile phone number using a one-time SMS verification code. Your phone number (and the country code derived from it) is stored with your account. We do not require or collect an e-mail address to create an account.
1.2 Profile data
- Username, first and last name, profile photo, and the optional profile details you choose to provide (such as age group and other profile fields).
1.3 Content you create
- Posts, stories, walls, comments, and notes, including any photos and videos they contain.
- Chat messages you send in direct (one-to-one) and group conversations, including photos and videos attached to them.
1.4 Usage and technical data
- Usage analytics. We collect event-level usage telemetry (for example, which screens and features are used) to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This analytics data is not used for advertising, and no demographic profiles are sold or shared with anyone.
- Crash reports. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and error reports (device model, operating system version, and technical crash details) so we can fix problems.
- Push notification tokens. A device token is stored so we can deliver notifications (for example, new messages or follows).
1.5 Contacts (optional, on-device only)
- The App may ask for permission to access your device address book. If you grant it, your contacts are read and processed only on your device. Your contacts — including phone numbers, names, and photos — are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. You can use the App without granting this permission, and you can revoke it at any time in your device settings.
1.6 Subscription data
- If you buy the Premium subscription, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status; we never receive or store your payment card details.
1.7 What we do NOT do
- No third-party advertising and no advertising SDKs in the App.
- No sale of personal data.
- No sharing of demographic profiles with third parties.

3. Who can see your content
Wallself is a social app: your profile and the content you post may be visible to other users under the visibility settings that apply to it (for example, private-account and story-audience controls). Direct and group messages are visible to their participants. Please post responsibly.
4. Sharing and processors
- Google Firebase (Google LLC and its affiliates) provides our hosting, database, file storage, authentication, crash reporting, analytics, and push infrastructure. Google processes data on our behalf as a processor.
- Apple App Store / Google Play process subscription payments under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose data where required by applicable law or valid legal process.
We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. International transfers
Our data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which may be located in the United States and other countries. Where personal data of persons in the EU/EEA is transferred outside the EEA, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's data-processing commitments.
6. Retention
- Account and content data are kept for as long as your account exists.
- Stories are ephemeral and expire automatically after 24 hours.
- Account deletion: you can delete your account directly in the App (Settings). Deletion removes your profile, posts, stories, walls, comments, notes, and messages through an automated cascade. A minimal deletion record may be retained where needed to honour the deletion and prevent abuse.
- Crash and analytics data are retained for the limited periods configured in Firebase and then deleted or aggregated.
- Moderation records (reports, bans, appeals) may be retained as long as necessary for safety and legal purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- erase your data (you can do this yourself via in-app account deletion);
- restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (for example, the contacts permission);
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Firebase infrastructure with server-side access rules restricting who can read and write each record. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your device and SIM secure, since your phone number is your sign-in credential.
9. Minimum age
Wallself is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly allow accounts for, or collect data from, anyone under 16. If you believe a user is under 16, please contact us at egokhanguzel@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.
10. Games
The App includes offline and online mini-games as entertainment features. Online game sessions relay gameplay inputs between participants in real time; game features do not involve advertising or additional data collection beyond the usage analytics and crash reporting described above.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and where changes are material we will notify you in the App.
